I am a final-year Veterinary Science student at the University of Bristol, due to graduate in July 2025, with a strong and growing passion for fish veterinary medicine. My interest in fish health and aquaculture has driven me to pursue externships and internships across the UK and internationally, gaining hands-on experience in diagnostics, husbandry, and disease management in a variety of aquatic settings—from RAS and sea cage systems to ornamental care.
My engagement with the Fish Veterinary Society has been a cornerstone of my professional development. I had the opportunity to present a poster on “Oral vaccination advancement and application in aquaculture” at the FVS Spring Conference 2024, where I connected with a vibrant community of like-minded professionals and gained valuable insights into the latest challenges and innovations in fish health.
I am also honoured to have been selected as a John L. Pitts Aquatic Veterinary Education Program recipient this year, which will allow me to further refine my clinical and diagnostic skills in fish medicine under expert mentorship.
As the Founder and President of the WAVMA Student Chapter at Bristol, I have led initiatives to promote aquatic veterinary education, securing grants and organising events to connect students with the field. I am committed to fostering student engagement, encouraging collaboration, and supporting the growth of fish veterinary medicine.
As Junior Vice President of FVS, I am excited to bring fresh energy and student perspective to the committee, helping to strengthen connections between the Society and the next generation of fish vets.
