Chris started working with ornamental fish in 1988 and became a member of FVS in 1991, becoming a committee member in 1997. His career highlight was working with numerous researchers around the world on what became known as KHV in the late 1990’s. This then led to interests in Public Health, Biosecurity, Zoonoses, Epidemiology and Animal Health Economics.

Now retired from practice he is working on a third textbook on aquatic aspects of One Health, having previously edited and contributed to "Fundamentals of Aquatic Veterinary Medicine" and "Pathology and Epidemiology of Aquatic Animal Diseases for Practitioners".
