Chris Burn graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2018 with a degree in Veterinary Medicine. He initially worked across Scotland with a range of terrestrial species before completing a Master’s in Aquatic Veterinary Studies at the University of Stirling in 2023.
Chris is currently based in the Highlands, where he works as a veterinarian for Scotland’s largest salmon farming company. His primary professional interests include preventative medicine, advancing fish health and welfare, and supporting the next generation of aquatic veterinarians through knowledge sharing and mentorship.
Outside of work, Chris is a keen cyclist and has recently completed a charity ride from Land’s End to John o’ Groats.
