Johanna Baily is a board-certified veterinary pathologist and fish vet working at Patogen providing histopathology support to the Scottish and Norwegian aquaculture industry. She qualified as a vet in 2002 from Toulouse, shortly before completing a Master’s degree in Aquatic Veterinary Studies at the University of Stirling. Throughout her career she has worked for two fish veterinary practices in Scotland, completed a 3-year residency in veterinary pathology at the University of Edinburgh and a PhD focusing on pathology and pathogens of grey seals between the University of St Andrews and the Moredun Research Institute, Edinburgh. She also holds an honorary senior lectureship in Aquatic Pathology at the University of Stirling, where she had been working since 2016.
